where did that moose go?

Here's what they have to say about the Pogo Moose Incident, in Fairbanks, Alaska: "They were laying new power cables which were strung on the ground for miles. The moose are rutting right now and very agitated. He was thrashing around and got his antlers stuck in the cables. When the men (miles away) began pulling the lines up with their big equipment, the moose went up with them. They noticed excess tension in the lines and went searching for the problem. He was still alive when they lowered him to the ground. He was a huge 60-inch bull and slightly peeved!"

the importance of correct punctuation

Dear John:
I want a man who knows what love is all about. You are generous, kind, thoughtful. People who are not like you admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me for other men. I yearn for you. I have no feelings whatsoever when we're apart. I can be forever happy--will you let me be yours?
Gloria

OR DID SHE MEAN
Dear John:
I want a man who knows what love is. All about you are generous, kind, thoughtful people, who are not like you. Admit to being useless and inferior. You have ruined me. For other men, I yearn. For you, I have no feelings whatsoever. When we're apart, I can be forever happy. Will you let me be?
Yours,
Gloria

a skewed view of survival

Comment from contributor of this item, Linda Randolph:

"I think this photo is deceptive. There's probably a flotation slide at the rear of the plane too, but the coach folks are standing on the wing where there isn't one....... Anyway when a plane crashes there is a better chance of survival in the cheap seat tail section. :-)) I'd be satisfied with the wing!"
