first appearance of The Beatles on Ed Sullivan
OMG, it is difficult to believe it has been 50 years since this momentous debut of The Beatles! If you weren't around for it, watch this video. If you were around for it, watch this video. (I remember hearing that there was no crime during this appearance--everyone, including criminals and the police--were busy watching!) To celebrate this anniversary, CBS is airing a special, The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles on Sunday, February 9, during which Paul and Ringo will be interviewed by David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC. Don't miss it!
