Rolling Thunder motorcycle parade in Washington D.C.
More than a million veterans ride their motorcycles to Washington D.C. during the week before Memorial Day. When they arrive, they ride down Constitution Avenue, where a lone Marine salutes them. Sgt. Chambers has done this for many years, and might be doing it again this year. I was once in D.C. on Memorial Day weekend and could hear the motorcycles from a distance. I asked what the sound was, and it was explained to me. It did sound a lot like rolling thunder.
